As a performer, Hermann Hudde has played concerts at the Graphik Museum “Pablo Picasso”, St. Elizabeth-Kirche and Lateinamerikanischen Musiktage in Germany, Maryland University, the Venezuelan Arts Gallery of New York, La Universidad Central de Venezuela and Casa de Estudios Latinoamericanos “Rómulo Gallegos” and Biblioteca Nacional de Venezuela in Caracas, Wasserstaawerk Concertgebow in Holland, Sala Teatina in Florence, University of Chicago Fulton Recital Hall, El Instituto de Cultura y Educación de México en Chicago, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Keller Room in New England Conservatory, MIT Guest Artist Concert Series, King's Chapel, Pearlman Hall at Brandeis University, The Loring-Greenough House, and St. Paul Cathedral, Bentley University in Boston, Dartmouth College Vaughan Recital Series, La Maison de l'Amérique Latine in Paris, and L’Université de Franche-Comtè in Besancon, France. As a chamber musician, he has worked with the singer Claudia Hernández and the flutist Gary Woolf in Europe, and with the pianist Mr. David Hessney and singers Sarah Cossaboon and Jessica Bachicha in the US.

Hermann has also worked as a teacher in the Pianoforte and Stadt Lohmar Musikschule in Germany and in the International School of Boston. In Fall 2007 he was a participant in an Invitational Seminar at New England Conservatory, "Venezuela’s Message of Social Transformation Through Music: A Model for Education, Social Reform and Human Development in the U.S.?" He concluded a music-in-education internship at the Music Education Department of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and was appointend as Artist-Teacher in the Boston Symphony Orchestra new community program 2008-09. Hermann worked on an orchestra management internship for Handel & Haydn Society in Boston.

Harvard Review for Latin America, NEC Journal for Music-in-Education and Diario El Universal have published Music-in-Education articles written by Hermann.

Centaur Records released the newest Hermann’s cd "Iberoamérica" in 2009 with liner notes by Lecturer Olmanda Hernandez-Guerrero from Brandeis University. In 2003, the German label Dreyer & Gaido produced Hermann’s first cd entitled “Trivium” with liner notes by John Duarte. This album has been highly acclaimed in Europe by Akoustic Gitarre, Fonoforum and Gitarren Hamburg.

Artists and music-lovers around the world have recognized Hermann's work. The Estonian composer Renée Eespere dedicated his solo guitar work “Immutatio” to Hermann, a piece which was recently featured in Soundboard Magazine. In 2006 Dr. Carlos Espinosa presented Hermann with a concert guitar made by the esteemed Spanish guitar maker, Luthier Francisco Esteve.

Hermann has been appointed in Spring 2009 as an instructor for the New England Conservatory Continuing Education to teach a course about Latin American Classical Music History and was invited to Brandeis University to offer a Lecture-Recital.


Hermann holds a Master of Music Degree with a Music-in-Education concentration at New England Conservatory in Boston, under the tutelage of Robert Sullivan. In 2006-7 Hermann received a Performance Outreach Fellowship from NEC. Hermann began his guitar studies in Venezuela with Rubén Riera and studied music theory with the composer Alvaro Cordero. Hermann received his degree in music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in Germany and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. In 2004, Hermann received a scholarship from The Mozarteum University in Salzburg to attend the Summer Academy, where Hermann met and became a student of Edoardo Catemario in Florence, Italy.
